Rosetta's Cal-Mex Recipes


1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. chorizo (mexican sausage)
1 green pepper ( chopped)
1 16 oz. can stewed tomatoes (diced)
1 cup Rosetta's Salsa
2 30 oz. cans pinto beans
1 30 oz. can small red beans
1 1/2 cups water
1 clove fresh garlic (crushed)
1 1/2 tsp. each, cumin, red cayenne chili, & italian seasonings.
salt & pepper to taste

In fry pan, fry ground beef, chorizo, onions garlic, & green pepper. When browned, drain off grease & add salsa, tomatoes & spices. In large dutch oven, pour beans & 1/2 of their juice, & water. Add salsa meat mixture to beans. Simmer on low heat, uncovered for 45 min.'s to 1 hr. Remove from heat, best reheated. Serves 15-20
